Naturally Elevated. Beautifully Enhanced.

Everyone’s skin gradually loses its youthful elasticity with age. As this process progresses, you’ll notice the effects on your face with facial folds, loose skin around your jawline, and drooping cheeks.

During a facelift, Dr. Wingate gently elevates those sagging facial tissues and removes any excess skin to restore your soft, smooth, and youthful face.

A Custom Facelift Approach—Exclusive to You

Not all facelifts are the same. Dr. Wingate will discuss the best approach and techniques depending on your concerns and age. He will completely tailor your surgery to meet your needs and desires, ensuring an exquisite aesthetic outcome as inimitable as you are.

Mini Facelift

The mini facelift is ideal for younger patients or those showing earlier signs of aging. It can improve mild to moderate sagging along the jawline and lower face. Because it’s a less intensive surgery, you can expect a quicker procedure and an easier recovery period when compared to some of the other options.

Mid-Facelift

The mid-facelift addresses sagging skin from the upper mouth to the eye area—including the cheeks. It does not address any signs of aging on the jawline or forehead. The mid-facelift is less intensive than a full facelift and can result in defined cheekbones and a brighter and more youthful eye area.

Lower Facelift

The lower facelift addresses heavy jowls, sagging neck skin, and drooping tissues along the chin. It reshapes your jawline and redefines your lower face. For patients with substantial jowls and other signs of neck and jawline aging, the lower facelift can be a transformative procedure that takes years off your appearance.

Full Facelift

A full facelift is the most intensive and transformative facelift procedure. It’s recommended for patients with more advanced signs of aging and for those who want to revitalize the entire face—from the forehead down to the neck.

The Surgery

During your initial consultation at our office, Dr. Wingate will review the various facelift techniques with you as he plans your procedure.

Traditional Facelift

For a traditional approach, he will create small incisions around your ears, hairline, and chin so that he can tighten loose muscles, remove drooping tissue, and smooth away excess skin.

SMAS Facelift

An SMAS facelift is a variation of the traditional approach, which addresses deeper layers of the facial skin for a lasting improvement. During surgery, Dr. Wingate tightens the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (the muscular layer of your face).

Deep Plane Facelift

The deep plane facelift is an advanced approach that lifts and repositions the deepest layers of your face. Because the adjustments are done beneath the skin’s surface, it ensures a natural transformation.

Once your procedure is complete, Dr. Wingate will close your incisions with care to ensure imperceptible scarring, and you will begin the recovery process.

The Recovery

The duration of your recovery will depend on your age and the type of facelift performed. If you have a mini-facelift, you may return to work within one week. If you have a more invasive full facelift, it could take up to three weeks to return to work.

In addition, it’s important to note that it may take many more weeks until you feel completely healed and like yourself again. Throughout this process, our team is here for you. If you have questions or need support, we’ll be with you every step of the way.
