The Surgery

The Recovery

You’ll return home shortly after surgery to begin healing. Most of our patients return to the normal daily routine in about two weeks. However, it can take a few months to heal completely. Transconjunctival blepharoplasty is a variation of lower eyelid surgery. With this approach, the incisions are completely hidden inside the eyelid, resulting in no visible scars. A key distinction is that this approach can only address fat beneath the eyes.

If your primary concern is heavy bags that can be reduced by removing or repositioning fat, this may be an option. However, if you also require skin removal, you’ll need an external incision along your lower lash line.
