Facelift or Renuvion Which One is Right for You?

A facelift requires incisions to lift drooping tissue and trim away excess skin. Renuvion Face can achieve results similar to a facelift using helium plasma energy. It requires a few very tiny incisions so that a cannula can be placed beneath the skin to deliver the skin-tightening energy, but it’s far less intensive than a traditional facelift.

The Renuvion Face Procedure

Your Renuvion procedure can be done under local or general anesthesia, depending on your needs. Once the anesthetic has taken effect, Dr. Wingate will make small incisions in the treatment area. He will then insert the Renuvion probe just beneath the surface of the skin to emit radiofrequency (RF) energy to deeply heat the underlying tissues.

The probe will deliver cold helium plasma simultaneously to help transfer the RF energy and cool the treated tissues. Throughout your procedure, Dr. Wingate will maintain precise control over the temperature, timing, and movement of the device. This is critical to ensure a safe and effective treatment.

The Recovery

Once your treatment is complete, we’ll place bandages over your incisions, and you can return home to become healing. You’ll need to rest at home for a few days, and you can expect to return to work and your normal routine within one week.
